Choose by stage, not by tier list
Early players often waste materials chasing a weapon that looks strongest on paper. A more useful rule is to choose a main weapon you can keep upgraded and a backup that covers a different damage type.
Damage type matters
Blunt, slash and pierce do not perform equally against every enemy. If a biome suddenly feels too tanky, the problem may be damage type rather than weapon quality.
One-handed vs two-handed
One-handed weapons preserve shield flexibility and usually feel safer while learning a biome. Two-handed options can offer control or damage at the cost of stamina and defensive convenience.
Upgrade priorities
- Upgrade the weapon you actually use rather than spreading rare materials across many experiments.
- Keep a bow or ranged option available for pulling enemies and dangerous terrain.
- Do not enter a new biome with a weapon that is difficult to replace if you die.
