What kind of game is How to Fish?
Dazed Games describes it as a 1–4 player physics-based fishing simulator. The loop mixes fishing, combat, quests, equipment purchases, bosses and island progression.
The survival challenge comes from beginning without gear, earning enough to improve the next run and returning with valuable catches. Co-op makes the physics funnier, but it also lets players split navigation, fighting and cargo duties.
Solo or co-op?
Solo play gives you full control of money and pacing. Co-op is more forgiving when one player handles navigation while another watches threats or manages the catch. Agree on purchases before spending shared progress.
